Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources
IUCN is the oldest and largest environmental organization in the world. In Asia, IUCN works with a wide range of partners from different sectors to deliver the organization’s world-class projects in initiatives guided by the Union’s vision and mission. IUCN Asia aims to gather relevant people to jointly work on an activity relating to biodiversity conservation, sustainable development and poverty reduction. IUCN task is currently based on 3 pillars: (1) value and nature conservation, (2) effective and fair utilization of natural resources, and (3) nature-based solutions for global challenges in climate, food and development. The Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, Mahidol University, jointly participates in coastal community risk reduction and promotion of integrated coastal management.
