Mahidol University concentrates on the safety, occupational health and environment of students, staff and clients as well as the university environment and surrounding community. As a result, the safety committee for various fields has been appointed. Additionally, the university has established Center of Occupational Safety, Health and Environment Management in order to create the management system of safety, occupational health and environment in accordance with laws that will lead to the international standard for the well-being of students, staff, and visitors.
The enhancement project of safety level in research laboratories of national universities has been implementation with ESPReL safety standard to 3 faculty laboratories including Faculty of Public Health, Faculty of Pharmacy and Institute of Molecular Biosciences), and two of them have been developed in accordance with Thai Industrial Standard in Safety Management of Chemical Laboratories (TISI 2677-2558).
Furthermore, an accident report system has been operated on April 28, 2017 to monitor and keep accidental damage records for safety management in the university.
