    Rabies Free Zone Project
    Rabies is a fatal zoonosis caused by a virus that remains an important public health issue in Thailand. Nowadays, rabies infections are still reported in both humans and animals. It causes losses in many aspects, such as lives, resources and the economy. For this reason, it is necessary to eradicate this disease urgently. To be a part of the eradication of rabies, Mahidol University, Nakhon Sawan Campus, in collaboration with the Faculty of Veterinary Science, Mahidol University and Nakhon Sawan Provincial Livestock Office established a Rabies Free Zone Project which consists of various activities including educating about rabies prevention, vaccination for pets and neutering for stray dogs and cats in the area of Khao Thong Subdistrict, Phayuha Khiri District, Nakhon Sawan Province, as well as other nearby areas. This project has been caried out continuously since 2014.

    Climate change Resilience of Indigenous SocioEcological systems (RISE)
    The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was created by United Nations. It emphasizes the right of living in the land, boundary and the use of resources of ethnic groups which have lived, occupied, and used for long time. In this context, ethnic groups have the right to live,to find food and continueto live in a traditional way. This makes the maintenance of traditional and sustainable food systems an urgent priority for the United Nations. It has been made as United Nations Permanent Forum of Indigenous Peoples’ Issues: UNPFII for ethnic groups officially. However, despite important declarations supporting ethnic groups, but they are highly still vulnerable to climate changes, environmental crises, and other factors.

    “For Your Beloved Teeth” Dental Health Exhibition
    Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry (MUDT), in collaboration with MUDT Student Association and Central Pinklao Department Store, hold the “For Your Beloved Teeth” Dental Health Exhibition, which is part of extracurricular student activities aiming to cultivate social responsibility in dental students and to promote oral health self-care among all the participants. The exhibition was initiated in 1984, and since then we annually organize the exhibition to provide knowledge, information, and guidance on oral health, for example, oral disease prevention, and dental treatment. We hope to encourage Thai people to recognize the importance of maintaining oral health care.
