“For Your Beloved Teeth” Dental Health Exhibition

      Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry (MUDT), in collaboration with MUDT Student Association and Central Pinklao Department Store, hold the “For Your Beloved Teeth” Dental Health Exhibition, which is part of extracurricular student activities aiming to cultivate social responsibility in dental students and to promote oral health self-care among all the participants. 

      The exhibition was initiated in 1984, and since then we annually organize the exhibition to provide knowledge, information, and guidance on oral health, for example, oral disease prevention, and dental treatment.  We hope to encourage Thai people to recognize the importance of maintaining oral health care.

      Also, there is a fundraising activity for the Friends in Need (of "PA") Volunteers Foundation of the Thai Red Cross Society and the exhibition commemorating H.M. King Maha Vajiralongkorn.

      The highlight activity is the “Beautiful Smile Kids’ Contest”. More than 100 children participate to win H.R.H. Princess Soamsawali Contest Cup and scholarships.

      Other interesting activities include the oral health promoting exhibition, voluntary dental services, and a charitable lucky draw, of which ticket sales will be totally contributed to the Friends in Need (of “Pa”) Volunteers Foundation which aims to help minimize hunger and hardship. In this regard, scholarships are also presented to our dental students.

1)Regarding H.R.H. Princess Soamsawali Cup Contest for ‘Beautiful Smile Kids’, Mahidol University Faculty of Dentistry (MUDT) in collaboration with the MUDT Student Association organizes the H.R.H. Princess Soamsawali Cup Contest for ‘Beautiful Smile Kids’ to promote oral health self-care among Thai children participants, the ages of 3 and 6; The winners are those with good oral health and dental appearance.

All child contestants receive dental examination and treatment from students and dental staff in the pediatric department at the Main Clinic on the 6^th floor, Faculty of Dentistry, Mahidol University.

*   In the fiscal year 2022, MUDT Student Association transformed the activities into the “Mahidol Dental Integration Academic Competition (MDIAC)” which was participated by senior high school students through an online platform.

**  There are no scheduled activities for the fiscal year 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

2)Regarding Dental Health Exhibition and Voluntary Dental Service, dental students of MUDT provide dental treatment to people  participating in the “For Your Beloved Teeth” dental health exhibition at Central Pinklao Department Store, every November.

* In the fiscal year 2022, MUDT Student Association transformed the activities into the “Mahidol Dental Integration Academic Competition (MDIAC)” which was participated by senior high school students through an online platform.
