Sustainable Society
Mahidol University, a top university of Thailand, produces high quality of graduates to the society and aims to be one of the World Class University by its motto “Wisdom of the Land”. The university has planned a policy to be a sustainable university prototype with strong, stable, and sustainable foundation through the “Mahidol Eco-University and Sustainability Policy 2021-2025” based on the fourth concept of sustainable development goals (SDG 4: Quality Education). This policy, developed by the United Nations (UN) is a globally sustainable development which has been planned to achieve by 2030. The policy has been driven by sustainable development under the 17 targets of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through these three strategies: sustainable growth, sustainable resources use, and sustainable community.
Sustainable Community
of Mahidol University aims to support social responsibility which meets the needs of the society, staff and staff of the university behavior change; support sustainable development in equity of people in the society, hygienic and safety standard management; support university in international level, happy environment in the university for staff and students. Therefore, the university cooperates with all local, national, and international divisions to share knowledge, promote learning, and support sustainable community through activities. These actions want people to have a better living, livable society, solidarity as well as learning society for the university’s students and staff through activities in professional support, quality of living enhancement, health service, environment conservation and restoration, and utility system development, inequality reduction, and roles support of people in the society including traditions and culture learning exchange. This is a part to support international communities to achieve all of 17 targets of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) following the details below.
The university has both main units and support units under the divisions to regularly supervise and support social responsibility as well as student activities and special activities inclusively held in the communities surrounded the university and communities in remote areas.

Mahidol Volunteer Center has been established due to the fact that the university aims to develop altruism of students based on the university’s values. Mahidol Volunteer Center will gather information of all domestic and international volunteer to open a space for students to do volunteer based on their knowledge and interest. The students have an opportunity to utilize their knowledge for supporting society with no expectations in return. This is to make student realize in public consciousness and to build a volunteer cooperation network of the university.

Mahidol University Social Engagement Forum, or "MUSEF," is an online media platform established by Mahidol University's Academic Services and Social Engagement Mission. The goal is to create a channel for communication and raising awareness of the university's academic work to society at large, in line with Mahidol University's resolve to promote high-quality research and academic work in a variety of subjects that will have an impact on society. Also, supporting the drive for Policy Advocacy by developing a framework to ensure that research that benefits society is shared with the public

Siriraj Volunteer Center was established in 2004 due to Tsunami national disaster. Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital had gathered medical volunteer to support in the disaster effected areas. After that, activities helping people in disaster areas happen every time when there is a disaster in Thailand. The Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital realized that social volunteers are necessary; therefore, Siriraj Volunteer Center was established under the supervision of social activities to cultivate the feeling of being a giver to staff and people in society. This is beneficial to the society and to build solidarity society. Nowadays, the center has been operating both the center’s activities and is an intermediary to gather volunteers for external centers. The center also cooperates with governmental sectors, private sectors, and state enterprises to support society together for the greatest benefit of Thai society and sustainability.

Student Activities is a place where it broadcasts activities that helps society and in remote areas. This is a group of students gathering in social volunteer, art and culture exchange, sport activity and knowledge sharing activity. The students will plan and operate activities by themselves which makes the Student Activities to return benefits to society. The students will have knowledge sharing in return after doing activities. Student Activities are divided into 4 parts which each part consists of many activities as follows:

      2. Art and Culture
      3. Sports
      4. Academic
