The Mini Master of Management in Health: Mini MM Training Program aims to enhance capacity building for public health staff who are doctors, nurses, academic staff, and related staff at the local, district, province, and country levels. The program helps to equip public health professionals with leadership and management skills to perform executive duties confidently and address public health management challenges effectively in the era of Thailand 4.0.

ASEAN Institute for Health Development (AIHD), Mahidol University has collaborated with the Preventive Medicine Association of Thailand to offer the Mini Master of Management in Health: Mini MM Training Program since 2000, which aimed to enhance capacity building for public health staff. Doctors, nurses, academic staff, and related staff at the local, district, province, and country levels will be equipped with leadership and management skills to perform executive duties confidently and address public health management challenges effectively in the era of Thailand 4.0. In the fiscal year 2021, AIHD organized 4 training batches (3 batches at AIHD and 1 batch at Lampang) on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (once a month) for 4 – 6 months. The total number of participants was 303.

 

Participants will join the orientation, lectures, and group activities at AIHD. They will also join study trips and do the self-report and group work projects. Moreover, they will receive electronic teaching material to learn at their own pace. On the last day of training, participants will present their group work projects and will receive feedback from experts, which can be applied in their real work effectively. The participants who pass the training will receive certificates of completion.

  1. Epidemiology for Public Health Solutions

2.1 Principles of epidemiology, disease surveillance and disease investigation and accident investigation

2.2 Application of epidemiology to solve communicable diseases, chronic diseases and the environmental problems

  1. Health Economics and Resource Management for Administrators

3.1 Principles and applications of health economics for executives

3.2 Resource Management in health facilities and health systems

  1. International health policy and advocacy
  2. Health Research and Research Utilization

5.1 Research and applications of research results to solve problems or develop public health work

5.2 Knowledge management and routine development as research
