1. Curriculum Characteristics

    1.4 Collaboration with Other Institutions:

          Currently, the program also has active research collaborations with several institutions, for example Kyoto University, Japan; Aalborg University, Denmark; Liverpool John Moores University, UK; Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand; IHE Delft, Netherland.

          The collaboration between the International Master’s Program in Environmental and Water Resources Engineering, Mahidol University, and the Graduate School of Global Environmental Studies, Kyoto University, provides the opportunity to two selected students each year to study at both Mahidol University and Kyoto University and receive two master’s degrees, one from each institution.

   1.5 Graduate Degree Offered to the Graduates:

          The Double Master’s Degree Program between Mahidol University, Thailand, and Kyoto University, Japan is only for students who choose and are selected to pursue two master’s degrees, one from each institution (See more details in attachment: (1) Agreement to Establish a Double Master’s Degree Program Between Mahidol University, Thailand and Kyoto University, Japan; (2) Annex 1: Program Descriptions: Double Master’s Degree Program; (3) Learning Agreement Form: Double Master’s Degree Program).

          Each student must propose an individual study plan with the approval of the student’s academic advisors according to the agreed curriculum for the total duration of the program. A learning agreement based on the study plan will then be drawn up and approved by the organizing committee prior to the student’s arrival at the partner institution. The study plan may be revised at any time, with the approval of the students’ academic advisors and the organizing committee.

2. Curriculum Status and Course Approval

     2.1 The curriculum was revised in 2022.

     2.2 Starting in the first semester of the academic year 2022 onwards.

     2.3 Curriculum screening committee approved the program in its meeting 26/2021 on 27 September, 2021 and meeting 4/2022 on 24 January, 2022

     2.4 The Mahidol University Council approved the program in its meeting 579 on 20 April, 2022


3. Expected Time to Evaluate the Quality and Standard of the Curriculum

     Program would be ready to evaluate the quality and standard of the curriculum, according to the National Qualifications Framework for Higher Education, Thailand in the year 2024 (after two years of implementing)
